Montreal Deli style food with a really great deck on the canal in St.Anne's. Nice boardwalk where the boats dock in front. Great place for weekend breakfasts, lunches and dinners.
Cheap eats with a view of the river. Pizza, subs, sandwiches, souvlaki, spaghetti and on and on. I like going for breakfast. Great location with access to boardwalk along canal to Ste.-Anne lock.
Went this morning with a small group. After battling with a big accident on Hwy 40, traffic non moving between the 40 and hwy 20, finally arrived at restaurant for group get together! Restaurant was nearly empty. The few umbrellas on the terrace were taken. Less then half the tables had umbrellas. They had given us seats indoors. I had reservations for 11:00 but because of the highways being closed everyone was late. Instead of making an exception since we were their only income at that hour they literally closed the breakfast at 11:30 as usual and treated ME and my group rudely saying it was not their problem we were late and WOULD not make an exception in any case, it was not their problem. Their plates were ridiculously pricey for the very small tasteless portions we received. The gentleman next to me ordered a lumberjack breakfast, the only thing lumberjack about the plate was the price. I saw him playing with a slim picking piece of ham, (cold cut, not real) and was almost afraid to look at the rest. The plates looked like there was something missing. I had one thinly sliced orange and a thin slice of Honeydew (melon) with skin on taking one corner of my plate, literally a small handful of potatoes on the other and the Greek omelette I ordered on the other hand with lots of space in between. My omelette was suppose to contain tomatoes, feta and onions. I had to hunt for the feta cheese. Of course I was delivered a Western Omelette at first instead of the Greek omelette I had asked for and all they did was change the omelette, so everything was cold including my toast!! One other member order a side of croutons was charged 3$ and it was the size of a cherry, literally. All the people that arrived after 11:30 were refused Breakfast because as per the RUDE owner we were told it was not their fault we were late!! Even after we explained why and we were the only table occupied in the restaurant at the time and most of the tables outside were empty!! I do NOT RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT TO ANYONE and I truthfully don't understand why a venue like this would still be open. They were definitely not warm and welcoming!
I had a very negative experience today at this restaurant. My friend and I were having breakfast on the patio, and at the end of the meal we were waiting to pay and drinking our coffees when the host came and asked us to get up so he could seat the next group of people. There was no line, just the one group. We said that we were still drinking our coffee/waiting to pay, he tried to push that we could stand off to the side and wait to pay before reluctantly leaving. The people at the table next to us laughed and made a comment that they never saw that happen before. When our waitress came I told her what happened and she said that was fair because we already had enough time. I thought it was very rude and disappointing. I've never been rushed out of a meal like that and I felt it was very disrespectful.*update* I posted this review a year ago and recently received a message I could best describe as harassment from the same host mentioned in my post.
Great ambiance for breakfast (waterfront terasse) but the morning menu does not have a lot of options.
